On Tuesday 2nd May, on behalf of St. Bride's parishioners, Laura and Betty presented the St Bride’s Lenten Alms cheque for £469 to The Lockhart Campus school for children aged 5 -18 with additional support needs.

 

The Head Teacher and staff were extremely grateful at the generosity of parishioners and they said the money would be used for outings, entertainment and treats for the children.

 

We were given a tour of the beautiful new school by pupils aged 13, Michaela and Jordan. They were very professional and proud of their school, showing us the Technical room, Home Economics room, Sensory room, Allotments, music room, PE room and swimming pools.

 

When asked about what she liked best about school Michaela replied “everything !!!“. Jordan really enjoys making things and fixing things like bike repairs, we talked about someday he’ll be running his own business doing just that.

 

The school has a very happy caring atmosphere and these two OLD teachers were very impressed.
